I got this tattoo in the center of my upper back in November 2011 in honor of my two brothers. We’ve all been through a lot in the past year or so and the infinity sign is to show that absolutely nothing can tear us apart. We will love and be there for each other no matter what and nobody/nothing can break our strong bond. The left side is an autism awareness sign with my older brother’s initials on the inside. He was diagnosed with Aspergers when he was 9 years old. Growing up with him made me realize that no matter what, things could be worse and that no matter what obstacles come my way I can get around them and keep on going. The right side is a diabetes awareness ribbon with my younger brother’s initials on the inside. When my little brother was twelve years old, he got really sick and nobody knew what was wrong with him so we took him to the local CareNow. They saw him and said that he had strep throat and to give him CapriSun because it will help. Two days later, my brother had lost twenty pounds and looked like a skeleton. We took him to the hospital only to find out that if we had brought him 5 minutes later, he would’ve been dead. The people at CareNow had misdiagnosed him and the CapriSun was killing him. He is proof that anything is possible and he is my hero and role model. I love both of my brothers to pieces and I believe that this tattoo does a great job of showing that. I love it.
This tattoo was done by Trey at Mild II Wild Tattoos in North Richland Hills, Texas. I highly suggest him to absolutely anyone. He is fantastic and has become a great friend of mine.

All the tears.

I’m grateful for every new week that I get to spend with the woman I have loved my entire life.
I saw this man on the Metro this past Monday, and asked him who the flowers were for. They were for his wife. They’ve been married for 47 years. FORTY-SEVEN. Every Monday, he brings her home flowers after work. My heart died at that moment.
